It's last call for us to take a look at the City's Bicycle Priority Network Map if you haven't already. The map (link below) is open to public input/comment until the end of this month.
If it's been a while since you looked at it, you'll notice many more comments and suggestions. The city contacts for this project emphasized that it's valuable to add to comments and concerns about specific areas, even if they have already been flagged by others. You can either add a new comment or comment on an existing comment.
If you have questions about the map, feel free to contact Tyler Kimbrell with the City of Spokane

In case you haven't heard through other channels, there is an opportunity to have our voices heard in the City's new bicycle route prioritization project. This is the blurb from the City's announcement:
The City is working on a Bicycle Priority Network map to guide a fully connected network of safe, comfortable, all-ages bicycle network and we need your input on the proposed routes. Check out the project page for more information and be sure to click on “view the map” to leave your comments on the map.
In case the link doesn't work above, here it is:

When you're on the map, you can see where they have identified routes and links in the network for priority. You may comment on what they have suggested using the tools on the map.
This is a great chance to add your perspectives!

From a FB post on the opening shared by ATD director (and former Spokane bike advocate) Barb Chamberlain:
"Thanks to funding from the Climate Commitment Act we have a major statewide program for school-based bicycle safety education and e-bike rebate and lending library programs. We're seeking someone to oversee the contracts for this work and serve as our education and encouragement lead. We have a fabulous telework policy; you can live anywhere in WA/OR/ID and work for us. Our team is committed to prioritizing safety and connectivity for a more resilient multimodal transportation system that enables everyone to get where they need to go."

Add V to your ABC Quick Check before rolling out. V as in VOTE at https://transportationawards.secure-platform.com/a/gallery?roundId=32 for the Washington State Active Transportation Plan to win the People's Choice Award in AASHTO America's Transportation Awards. You can vote once every 24 hours from every device you own through Oct. 21 so add a reminder to your calendar. Why this matters: It's incredibly rare for a plan to get to the finals of a national transportation competition and AASHTO awards typically go to big highway projects. Your vote counts--every day!
