I’ve met some folks who say that I’m a dreamer…

Although my reign was short, my five months as Miss St. Clair Shores was some of the most impactful, bucket-filling time I have ever been so lucky to live through. I am proud to say I was able to accomplish more than I had ever imagined, and because of my support system of friends, family, the Miss SCS board, and of course my community, I was able to truly make five months feel like a lifetime (in the best way!).

To Liz, Karla, Sara-Rose, and Carrie- You ladies have helped to shape my life more than you know. Growing up, I always looked forward to those summer rehearsals and the big night on stage. Without you, I would not be where I am today, and I am forever proud and grateful to know you. I love you so very much!

To my sweet Lil- How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Every time someone would ask us if we were actually sisters, I was so honored (and always wanted to say yes!). It has been an absolute dream being your big sister for these last few months. I am so proud of you. You are going to go so far, kiddo, and I am going to be cheering you on from the front row each and every time. I love you dearly ❤️

And of course, to mom, dad, Finny, Josh, and all of my dear friends and family- there is no way I’d be here without you. Even when the support had to come from a distance, I could feel it in my heart and knew you’ve been with me every step of the way. You’ve been there to guide me, inspire me, and love me, and I can’t put into words how lucky I am to have you. I love you all, so so much.

Well folks, my time as Miss St. Clair Shores has come and gone. I’m not sure what’s next for me, but rest assured, it won’t be boring! And while I may not be wearing St. Clair Shores across my heart on the outside anymore, my hometown has definitely etched its name forever in my soul.

I love you, St. Clair Shores. I will always be your hometown girl.

I’ve been producing The Miss St. Clair Shores Scholarship Program since 2008…this is the first year I’ll be doing it from Chicago! 🤯 Thank you to everyone taking over for me, especially Bryan Melby.

The 70th Miss SCS will be crowned tonight! Show starts at 6pm at Lake Shore High School. 👑❤️💋Wishing everyone involved a fantastic show and to the girls, HAVE FUN!!!
