Support for the Dean’s Transformational Excellence Fund at WashU Olin — the challenge will provide a 2-to-1 match for all new, increased or multiyear commitments at the Eliot level to the Dean’s Fund.
Vickie Perla and Paul Guyardo, parents of Julia Guagliardo, BSBA 2024, have established a $160,000 challenge to encourage increased support and will match renewed Eliot Society memberships for gifts of $1,000 or more to the Dean’s Transformational Excellence Fund.

ICYMI: EMBA alum Dr. Mohamed A. Zayed leads new surgical division at WashU School of Medicine.
His research into improving care for patients with vascular disease has received more than $25 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other organizations, including an American Surgical Association research fellowship award and the Society for Vascular Surgery Foundation research investigator award.

His installation lecture was titled “Strategy, Luck and Human Behavior in Organizations" and outlines how organizations can better align ethics and productivity, focusing on how economic and psychological factors create opportunities to improve the welfare of both people and their employers.
