If you know any future nurses, please share with them this amazing opportunity to work with our office this summer. We will be hiring a couple of students that must be currently in nursing school and have completed their classes and competencies for venipuncture and injections. Resumes and cover letters stating why they want to work with our office are due to our practice manager no later than February 28th.
Calling all big and little artists, we need your help again decorating for the holidays! We need your winter, Hanukkah, and Christmas paintings, drawings, or other artwork for us to laminate and decorate the hallways. You can drop these off at the new office. Don’t worry, the fish artwork will be saved and back up right after the New Years!
Wow! Our hearts are smiling from all of the wonderful compliments about our physicians and staff that our families have shared on their patient satisfaction surveys and on the social media parent pages. We cannot tell you how much the kind words mean to us. Thank you from all of us here at Premier Pediatrics.
So proud of our team and how they go the extra mile to support our families!!
Today, we wear stripes to support and celebrate Rare Disease Day and the more than 300 million people living with one of the thousands of rare diseases worldwide. Did you accept our challenge by wearing your stripes?
Happy Father’s Day!!💙
Thank you for doing an excellent job of taking care of our patients and their families!!😊
It has been a while and we are a little behind in sharing but our fall and winter recipients of the Premer Pediatrics Positive Pants award goes to Emma and Marissa. These ladies have been here less than a year but you would never know it the way that they jumped right in and became two more shining stars with the rest of our amazing team. Thank you to both ladies for all you do and we are so blessed to have you as a part of the PP5.
Due to the sleet already covering roads in the area, Premier Pediatrics will be closed today, Weds February 2. We will continue to watch the road conditions before making decisions for tomorrow.
Our staff will reach out this morning to families with patients on todays schedule to alert them of the change.
For medical emergencies or questions that cannot wait until the office reopens, you can contact us through our exchange at 314/859-4000.
Please be careful if you must go out today.
I love our office competitions! I have a personal favorite but I’ll let everyone vote first🎄
We apologize but due to power outages from last evenings storms, Premier Pediatrics will be closed today, 12/11. We are currently working with Washington University to have our phones forwarded to our after hours nurses who will be available for nurse triage this morning. Thank you for your patience while we are working to correct these issues.

Tomorrow Premier Pediatrics is holding our first ever blood drive here in the office. We are so proud of our staff and their families for stepping up to donate for such a good cause.
We have had a few cancellations for after 3pm if any of our older patients or their parents are interested in donating to the Red Cross. If you are interested in donating, please call our office manager, Amy at 314/859-4000 and she can get you scheduled.
Congratulations to Dr. Tackes’s medical assistant, Michelle, for being our May recipient of the Premier Pediatric Positivity Pants.
Michelle is always such a joy to work with. No matter how busy she gets with her own tasks, she is quick to jump up and help others wherever she can with a smile. Thank you Michelle for all that you do.
Our next virtual breastfeeding and newborn care class is scheduled for June 15th at 5pm. This will be with Nurse Amy and Dr. Foersterling. To schedule please call 314/859-4000.
Thank you for your input regarding our summer walk in clinic. As you requested, we have decided to continue the walk in clinic through the summer but due to the decrease in sick volumes over the summer months, we will be changing the hours to better suit the need.
This upcoming week will be our last week to 7:30-8:30AM for walk ins. Starting the week of May 17, walk ins will begin Monday through Friday at 8:00AM and end at 8:30AM. We will not have Saturday Walk In hours.
Visits during this time are for sick patients only and no appointment is necessary. Patients will be seen in order unless there is an emergency. Please arrive early as our normal schedules do start at 8:30.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. 1 in 5. The number of people who will be affected by mental illness in any given year. This person is sitting next to you. This person is living in your house. This person is a part of your family. This is you. Even if this disease is not yours to fight, you are impacted by knowing and loving someone who is.
A semicolon. A pause. An indication of connection between sentences. Often causing confusion yet important to empathize relationships. A pause to let the reader know there is more to the story.
The semicolon is sometimes described as stronger than a comma but weaker than a period. In certain uses, this is a reasonably accurate definition. Yet there is more to the semicolon than that.
And I am stronger than depression and anxiety. I am more than what it tells me I am. It will not be my ending period. My disease makes me pause in my day. It makes me stop and care for myself. But it doesn't end me. I have more to my story. And so do you. Share it. Talk about it. Reveal it. Display it.
There is no shame. Don't let it become your end. Let it be a part of your story. One that you overcome everyday.
Support your 1 in 5. Show them that you see them. You hear them. You love them. Show them that their disease does not make them less of a person.

So proud that our staff provides excellent care in a timely fashion!!
One of the biggest compliments that we get here at Premier Pediatrics is the wonderful phone experience our parents and patients receive. We pride ourselves by having the most knowledgeable and friendly nurses and staff answering our phones while having a goal of keeping hold times to a minimum. Even on a busy Monday like today, our current hold time is less than 1 minute. You can reach us at 314/859-4000.
What a privilege to take care of these sweet babies and their families!
Dr. Tackes, the other physicians, and staff want to welcome Baby Ozzy to Premier Pediatrics. We all think her name is just as adorable as she is.
