Brisbane Place Free Little Library

Our free little library was just vandalized and destroyed! Atleast 4 people on bicycles. 2 went down Stanfield and the others down Otto towards Kelly drive! If anyone has camera footage please message me. This is for our kids, our community and how DARE they wreck this!

It’s a sheep! It’s a cow! No, it’s Costasiella kuroshimae (or ‘Leaf Sheep’ for short). This adorable little sea slug, whose beady eyes and cute feelers make it look like a cartoon sea sheep, feeds on algae – just like the real thing! What’s fascinating about the tiny cute animal which can grow up to 5mm in length and can be found near Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines, is that they are one of the only sea creatures in the world that can perform photosynthesis (the others all belong to the sacoglossa sea slug clade). When these weird animals eat algae, they suck out the chloroplasts and incorporate them into their own bodies in a process called kleptoplasty. This process, which otherwise can only be performed by single-celled organisms, essentially makes them solar-powered slugs! Jehovah is really amazing! #jw #jwfriends #jwfamily #jworg

Book-opoly allows players a glimpse inside the many worlds of classic literature. It’s a traditional property trading game where players buy, sell and trade their way to fun with family and friends. Interesting facts about the books and the authors are printed on the back of each property deed. Roll the dice and advance to Read. Collect Bookstores and trade them in for Libraries. Who knows! You may soon be elected President of the Book Club…or you may be tossed out of the game for three turns and sent to WATCH TV!

You can find that board game on eBay. It's a fascinating board game for everyone of all ages, no matter their level of reading. 📚
