More than 4,000 employees gather for our All Staff Kick-Off today at UOP to kick off the 2024-25 school year. We are ready! School Starts this Thursday, August 1.

Preschool, TK and kindergarten enrollment July 29 from 5 to 6 PM.

SUSD’s New Teacher Support Program welcomed over 100 newly hired teachers to the Hilton Hotel for New Teacher In-Service week. This week was focused around preparing them for a successful first year in SUSD. We cannot wait to see what this diverse group of energetic and passionate teachers will do to enhance the opportunities for our students in SUSD as they move them ONWARD into their futures.

Join ’s 1st Annual Family Empowerment Conference for our 2-day event!

The kick-off is Friday, August 9th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be live music, food, and family resources hosted by Dr. Michelle Rodriguez, Superintendent of Schools.

Day 2 will be August 10th from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm with keynote speaker Dr. Victor Rios, Professor, Author, and CEO of Scholar System. There will be breakfast, lunch, day camp & child care.

The location of this amazing event is Edison High School, 100 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Stockton.

Our students at have been on an incredible reading journey! 🌟 For every 30 minutes spent reading on SORA each week, their names get entered into a drawing. We pick 8 winners each week:

- 2 from Grades K-2 🧒📘
- 2 from Grades 3-5 🌟📗
- 2 from Grades 6-8 📖👩‍🎓
- 2 from Grades 9-12 🔥📕

As of today, we’ve collectively read an amazing **168,911 minutes** since June 1! That’s **2815 hours** or **117 days** of non-stop reading! 🥳🎉 Keep up the fantastic work, SUSD! Together, we’re making every minute count! ⏱️📖✨

SUSD Department of Public Safety will be hosting a volunteer fair for community members interested in volunteering. This is a free event where you can get your fingerprints and TB screening done in one place, making the volunteer process easier and faster.
