Woo hoo! THANKS TO OUR COMMUNITY and the Sylvania Lions Club 🦁, SAFS now has a new TREX bench after collecting over 1,000 lbs of plastic bags/materials. The bench will be used out front and will be greatly used especially on food distribution day! Thank you Lions and thank you to everyone who dropped off plastic materials. Keep it coming! We are hoping to get another bench!

We are once again back to dressing alike sans memo!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Lee Cannon, for organizing a backpack and school supply drive. They packed and donated 40 High school back packs for our annual Back to School program coming up in August! Thank you for helping us send our students back to school with the tools they need to be successful throughout the year.

Remember what it was like as a kid getting all new stuff for the first day of school? How about the excitement of having bright, unbroken crayons, pencils to sharpen, and fun backpacks? Many students in the Sylvania area come from homes below the poverty level, and they deserve to feel the same excitement about school.
