This is Isla.

Isla is a 6th grader and no stranger to hard work. Her favorite movement is the power clean and she enjoys any WOD with rowing. Her favorite subject in school is Math and PE (unless they are doing pacer). Isla has the perfect blend of intensity and positivity. She is curious, focused and always willing to try new things.

Isla exemplified our February theme “Do hard things”. She comes in each day ready and prepared to work hard. She is encouraging to the other RevUp kids and is a great mentor for her younger sister.

We are so proud to help Isla learn, improve and grow. She is coachable and a quiet leader. It makes us happy to see her find joy, confidence and fulfillment in fitness.

Let’s be like Isla!

Youth inactivity is its own health crisis 02/23/2021

Good article highlighting the health problems that are following youth inactivity, especially in low income families.

RevUp's vision is to provide equal opportunity for all kids in the greater Pierce County area to fitness and sports. Access to healthy programs should never be limited by finances or transportation.

Thanks to generous donations from our community, we have been able to provide over 40 scholarships so far in 2021.

Youth inactivity is its own health crisis As we weather this pandemic, we need bold transformation and a lasting commitment so all kids in our region have the opportunity to play, enjoy the outdoors and have a strong healthy start in life.

This is Elijah.

Elijah is one of the most disciplined athletes we know. He never misses a RevUp class, is determined to move well, and always chooses the higher road.

Elijah is fit and talented! But that's not why he's our athlete of the month-- he represents the best qualities of our community. He's kind, celebrates others, works hard, is respectful, and elevates every class he's in.

Let's be like Elijah!

Children NEED to experience vestibular input on a daily basis. The vestibular system is responsible for balance, coordination, spatial awareness, muscle tone and focus to name a few. Spinning, rolling and handstands are all great ways to develop! 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Congratulations to Kolby! RevUp's Athlete of the Month!

Kolby is 6 years old, loves to row, and always has a smile on her face! She loves to work hard and always puts 100% effort into every workout, never cutting corners! Counting reps and focusing on good technique are hard to do (at any age, but when you're 6, almost impossible!), but Kolby has exceptional integrity.

Kolby is such a friendly face for new kids who join the gym. She has made friends with everybody. She helps her new friends feel comfortable and a part of the community right away.

Last month's theme was "leave it better than you found it" and Kolby took it heart. She helps everyone clean up their equipment and always says a big "thank you" to the coaches at the end of the day.

Let's be like Kolby!

This is Taylor, she’s our RevUp December Athlete of the Month.

Taylor is kind, positive, and focused in class. Taylor's favorite movement is the power clean. She always has the best painted nails (which she does herself), and rocks all the ‘90s classic television show t shirts. She came into RevUp nervous and unsure. Over the last 3 months she’s improved tremendously and shown us what determination looks like.

Let’s be like Taylor!
