To decolonize harmful pedagogical training, a promising solution is to develop culturally appropriate curricula that infuse Indigenous epistemologies for student success in mathematics and sciences. The objective of this project is to develop culturally appropriate critical pedagogical training for PK-12 and teacher educators to acknowledges a deep respect for Traditional Ecological Knowledge as a “living” learning curricula for Indigenous peoples.

Looking for an online class to round out your Autumn 2018 schedule? Need to prepare for upper-division research and writing? THIST 101 Introduction to History Methods has seats available and is open to all majors! Taught by Dr. Libi Sundermann this course (5 and I&S) introduces students to historians' methods for researching and writing, including Chicago style, with a focus on formulating, researching, and writing a history research paper on a topic agreed upon by the student and the instructor related to the instructor's field(s) of expertise. We will be using World War II, broadly, for this class' topics. Topics can range from cultural, social, political, military, and other themes.
