This past weekend we said goodbye to our former Adjutant General, Maj General Bret Daugherty and welcomed Brigadier General Gent Welsh as the incoming Adjutant General. Congratulations Sir and best wishes to Maj Gen Daugherty!

The WA and OR Air National Guard recruiters had an amazing week as they spent time training to enhance their skills and professional development. The energy and commitment was incredible! They are ready to hit the streets and recruit new talent!

Friday enlistment!

Senior Airman Jovan Castillo comes to us from the Army and will be at the 143d Cyber Operations Squadron.

He will continue his career in military intelligence and serve as an all source intelligence analyst.

Staff Sgt. Lanxin Xing reenlisted with the 194th FSS for another 6 years! She serves as a personnel specialist. Her reenlistment also came with a $25,000 bonus!

During her time in Sgt. Xing used the Montgomery GI Bill Ch. 1606 benefit and got her BA in accounting. She currently works for the city of Des Moines.

Staff Sgt. James Woodard II recently enlisted into the 262d Cyber Operations Squadron.

He comes to us with experience in intelligence in both the Army and Army National Guard.

In the ANG woodard will be trained in cyber defense operations.

Andrea Philalay enlisted into the 194th Medical Group yesterday afternoon!

He will be a medical material specialist.

On Friday Senior Airman Andrew Heinselman enlisted into the 262d Cyber Operations Squadron as an All Source Intelligence Analyst. He comes to us with experience in intel from the active duty Army and WA Army National Guard.

Hanssolo Dela Cruz recently enlisted into the 116th Weather Flight as a weatherman! He comes to us from the Washington Army National Guard. Dela Cruz signed a six year contract into a in demand career field which came with a $65,000 bonus!

He expressed his gratitude to her for helping to pass legislation that rewards Guardsmen for referrals that join the and told her the bill will help with recruiting efforts. We appreciate the hard work you’ve done to support the Washington National Guard and military families!

Airman Jordaan Kvale a public affairs specialist with the 194th Wing gets coined by General Daniel Hokanson the 29th Chief of the National Guard Bureau.

Airman Kvale is in Thailand covering operations for Enduring Partners 2024. EP24 is an engagement to improve readiness and combined and joint interoperability between the Royal Thai Air Force and the WAANG as part of the State Partnership Program.

194th Security Forces had a good time this last drill weekend.

Tech Sgt. Thyrelle Corbin enlisted into the 225th Air Defense Squadron as a command control battle management operator.

Sgt. Corbin comes to us with over 10 years of active duty service in the Air Force. Now he will serve as an AGR at the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS). Welcome to team Bigfoot!

If you’ve seen this flyer floating around social media, it is true! The Air Force is finally bringing back warrant officers! This is an exciting time to take advantage of this historic time. One of our wings, the 194th wing, is one of three air National Guard units who will be among the first to be able to send guardsmen through this program. On Friday Collin Mitzel from Issaquah enlisted into the 116th Weather Flight. Collin is non-prior service enlistee and will become a Weather - 1W0X1 Airman.

This career field currently has a signing bonus of $50,000 for NPS!

Tech Sgt. Steinecke got to help judge at a JROTC competition. He helped out by judging and scoring the fitness test competition. The standards these JROTC students hold themselves to was incredible to see.
