"After just over a year since being reinstated, NSU’s Forensics Team has earned rankings in a state competition. The Oklahoma Intercollegiate Forensics Association State Championship Tournament invites surrounding speech and debate teams to compete across two days and was held in Tulsa for its second year. Under the guidance of Amber Margarit, forensics coach, each of the four members who competed placed in their respective speech categories.

Due to the pandemic, and the scarcity of nearby tournaments, the team typically competed through an online format by recording their speeches and sending them in for assessment. OIFA State Championship Tournament is the first in-person competition the current team has participated in..."

Don't forget about our Spring 2024 Open House this week on Wednesday!!!!!

Our History Department Spring 2024 Open House and All-Black Town student exhibit will be next Wednesday, February 7th, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in our History Department Suite in Wilson Hall on the Tahlequah campus. Join us as we celebrate student research. You can also mingle with the department faculty.

This Black History Month exhibit will showcase posters of the 13 All-Black Towns still in existence that were created by students in Dr. Silver's Oklahoma History class last fall.
