Election time has rolled around for the SHRM - NSU Student Chapter Officers! The officer positions include President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. If you feel like you are a good fit for leadership positions do not hesitate to self-nominate regardless of time with organization or student classification. Each position will provide you with real-world translatable skills and are common talking points for interview processes for new graduates and interns. March 27 marked a vibrant day at Northeastern State University as the College of Business and Technology (CBT) swung open its doors, inviting students, faculty, and curious minds campus-wide.

The goal? To showcase CBT's diverse pathways and offer a glimpse into the future for those navigating their academic journey.

From undecided freshmen to athletes and coaches, all explored the CBT, guided by friendly faces. The highlight? A spirited scavenger hunt, blending fun with education, revealing the innovation within.

Amidst laughter and conversation, one truth emerged: the CBT open house sparked curiosity, fired imaginations, and unveiled endless possibilities." 🚀

Exciting changes are on the horizon for the Bachelor of Technology degree! 🚀 From cutting-edge courses in AI, Machine Learning, Virtual/Augmented Reality, to the exhilarating world of Robotics and Unmanned Vehicles, the opportunities are endless. 🌟

In the upcoming Unmanned Vehicles course, students will dive into the thrilling realm of quadcopter drones, gearing up for their FAA drone pilot licenses. 🛸 Thanks to the forward-thinking investment by the College of Business and Technology (CBT), we now boast four state-of-the-art drones ready to take flight.

Instructor Tyler Utt shares his unexpected journey from recreational drone pilot to paving the way for future industry leaders. 🌐 For him, it started as a hobby, but for our students, it's a gateway to a potential career.

Dr. Roy Wood and instructor Tyler Utt have already conquered their FAA Recreational Drone Pilot Certifications, showcasing their dedication to safe and responsible drone operation. But their ambition doesn't stop there. 🎓 They're aiming for commercial certification, not just to expand their own horizons, but to empower our students to reach new heights in this dynamic field. ✈️

NSU's Experiential Learning class joined the Tulsa chapter of the American Marketing Association for a tour of the WeStreet Ice arena. Students thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend visiting WeStreet for ice skating, curling lessons, the amazing full service restaurant or the virtual reality golf, soccer, baseball meeting room.
