It was a busy Wednesday with Industry Tours at TenCate, Ranew's, and Dart. Unique industries on the front lines of manufacturing excellence in Thomaston-Upson County.

Today included a tour of Upson Regional Medical Center. Such a fantastic facility with talented medical professionals, that are a tremendous resource for our community and region.

Having a medical center in your community is a major economic development plus. Just a few factors: 1. Access to Healthcare 2. Employment Opportunities 3. Community Outreach 4. Research and Innovation 5. Emergency Preparedness.

What a great day in West Point touring KIA and meeting with State Project Managers and Utility Providers. We saw the new KIA EV9 and marketing our community to the project managers.

Partnerships are vital in economic development and the opportunity for educators to get into our local industries and discuss workforce and curriculum.
