We would love to know- who are you cheering for today?
Easy to say, right?
But we see it all the time. We see people, again and again, show actions to a neighbor that is anything but love.
So what do we do about it? We love like Jesus would want us to, no matter how everyone else is acting.
We love until it hurts. We love when it is uncomfortable. We give, we pray, we love like Jesus did. No matter what. ❤️
What are you bringing to God this month?
How are yo being a peacemaker today?
What are you doing with each of your hands in 2021?
We hope you had a beautiful and peaceful Christmas ❤️
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A beautiful verse and an important reminder!
No one can deny that this year is hard.
For one of the first times ever, our world can unite in a unique suffering that has affected every person in some way, shape, or form.
What is the most heartbreaking is hearing about populations that were already suffering that now face even harder lives with everything that is going on in 2020.
Los Angeles alone has over 20,000 youth in the foster care system. For many, this sounds like a hopeless situation. However, we are here to foster hope.
We foster hope by connecting teens with Christian mentors.
We foster hope by teaching them job readiness skills through our Jobs For Life program.
We foster hope by giving gift bags to foster youth in shelter.
And most of all: we pray.
Would you consider joining us, either through prayer or support, as we help those hardest hit in times like these?
Please go to the link below for more info. And thank you for supporting our youth!

We are here for the 20,000.
The Situation:
Los Angeles has over 20,000 youth in the foster care system. These youth will emancipate out of the state's care between age 18 and 22. Many will go on to live without a stable home, supportive community and employment opportunities. FHLA is proud to embrace these individuals who are often forgotten and dismissed by society. We are working to break the cycle for the benefit of our city and the next generation.

Thank you veterans for everything you have done for our country!

This has been quite the week-- good thing our God is in control no matter what!
What is the best Christmas gift you have ever received? Why was it the best?
We should always be asking ourselves this. Jesus has called us to go out and change the world!

Our Story
Fostering Hope LA’s mission is to pair youth aging out of Foster care system with a volunteer Christian Mentor who has committed to a 6-month journey walking alongside these youth. As they begin our program they will engage in a successful 8-week job and life skills class called Jobs for Life. Our hope is that upon graduation of this class and with the support of their mentors, that they will have secured their identity in Christ, and developed their character in the job marketplace. Ultimately Fostering Hope LA strives to provide these youth with successful jobs, healthy relationships and the ability to become leaders in their communities.
