Our Story
Experienced NRA Certified Instructors from Traverse City Firearm Fundamentals will conduct a one-day NRA Personal Protection in the Home course in a professional setting. This class meets all requirements to apply for a concealed pistol license in Michigan. Certificates will be awarded to successful students at the end of the class.
This class is for shooters who have already mastered the basics of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm. Pre-validation of these skills includes: a NRA Basic Pistol Certificate, NRA Marksmanship Program Qualification, a Military DD-214 showing pistol qualification, a concealed carry permit from any State, or passing a short Pre-Course Evaluation. Prior shooting experience must be validated prior to the class.
Beginner shooters are welcome and can be brought up to the level required to successfully complete this class with a brief period of instruction prior to the class. Please call Tony at 499-8284 for details.
Students must bring a handgun, 150 rounds of ammunition, and eye & ear protection. No Single Action revolvers please.
Class Goal: To develop in the student the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, to provide information on the law, and of the law-abiding citizen’s right to self-defense.
