BALANCE & RENEW YOGA -
Vinyasa Flow yoga emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath.... This class moves from pose to pose with each held for no more than five to eight breaths. WHY YOU SHOULD DO YOGA:

NEW CLASS!! Starts JUNE 27th ---- Total Body Conditioning-TBC
The multi-fitness level class integrates segments of aerobic conditioning, strength training, and core development. Will challenge all fitness levels!

Total Body conditioning classes are intended to provide total fitness and overall toning by working for every major muscle group in one workout. The aerobic component helps burn calories, while the strength exercises help build or maintain muscle mass which burns calories even when you're not working out and increases bone density which can help prevent osteoporosis.

All levels are welcome. Set a new summer goal, just book it and reserve a spot!!
If you have a friend visiting this summer let me know and I can check the class loads and add them as a guest!

FREE new member workshop! Ever wonder what happened to that fit energetic toned-up kid you remember? This outline helps us put it all into perspective. In order to get where you’re going, it helps to understand where we have been.

We are going to discuss how our body has changed over time and what are realistic and obtainable goals to set for yourself that reverse those trends. We'll discuss your metabolism how it works and factors that influence the slowdown. What happened to my energy and endurance? Lost your stamina? Get motivated and learn how to change it so you can participate in activities you would otherwise avoid. Learn how to change your cardiovascular and respiratory response to exercise, increase oxygen uptake and the stroke volume of your heart.

How we handle stress sleep cycles and mental attitude, all are impacted by fitness! How to set fitness goals and Identify programming that addresses your needs. It's all free educationally based info to provide answers and inspiration for members and guests.

Centre Ice is a great Community of Affiliates.... the kids have been working hard....March 10th & 11th The Traverse City Skating Club is proud to present "Enchantment on Ice." Prepare to be enchanted as our skaters take you on an unforgettable journey through four Disney stories.
Enchantment on Ice features the classic tales of Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella, as well as the more modern favorites of Tangled and Encanto. This is a large-scale production for everyone, filled with beautiful music, spectacular skating, and impressive props and lighting. Sing and dance along to your favorite songs with your whole family.

We are going to discuss how your body has changed over time and what are realistic and obtainable goals to set for your self in order to reverse those trends.

We'll discuss your metabolism how it works and factors that influence the slow down. How does your body use food for fuel vs storing it as fat.

Can you say Muffin Top.... how does your body store fat? It's within your muscles as inter-muscular and stored outside as subcutaneous fat! How do you get rid of it?

Calories in and calories out.... basics on Food as a Fuel source! The majority of weight loss is limited food intake not calories burned on a treadmill!

Why are we getting flabby (Hypotonic) Physiology (of tissue) having less than the normal muscle tone. What do we have to do to get it back.

What role does balance and stability play in day to day activity and how can you improve it.

What the hell happened to my energy and endurance? Lost your stamina ? Get motivated and learn how to change it so you can participate in activities you would otherwise avoid because your out of shape with no stamina.

This workshop covers tips for strengthening and preventing shoulder problems. A Licensed Athletic Trainer will educate you on

- Rotatory Cuff issues
Plus exercises and tools to strengthen and support your shoulders.

This leaves the individual with a disproportional level of fitness and predisposes them to injury. Incorporating specific functional exercises that challenge the body's nervous system to improve sensory-motor function is advised for optimal performance and quality of life.😃

NEW TABATA HIIT ..This training is unique, Angela will incorporate H.I.I.T protocols. High-Intensity Interval Training timed circuit class pushes both aerobic and anaerobic thresholds. Average 20 seconds On and 10 Seconds Off!...Burn over 700 calories and increase endurance, coordination, and strength! Leave the class with a great sense of accomplishment! I promise you have not taken a class like this. Great music with great cues keeps you motivated throughout the class.

KNEE PAIN Clinic / Training
Monday 10/24 11:00AM
Taught by Joelle a Licensed Athletic Trainer.

Proper training can help stabilize joints and minimize injury. Learn all the basics of knee injury prevention and awareness. She will provide education on the function of the joint the role of stabilization, tracking, and solutions. Knee pain can be caused by a sudden injury, an overuse injury, or by an underlying condition, such as arthritis. Treatment will vary depending on the cause. Symptoms of knee injury can include pain, swelling, and stiffness. Get the info to make informed decisions.

Whether you’re a competitive athlete, a weekend warrior, or a daily walker, dealing with knee pain can put a kink in your favorite activities.
Knee pain is a common issue. This includes pain caused by:

overuse
osteoarthritis
tendinitis
bursitis
meniscus tears
sprained knee ligaments

The good news is there are several ways to treat knee pain, including stretching and strengthening exercises that you can do on your own.

In this workshop, You'll learn about knee bio-mechanics we’ll walk you through some of the most effective exercises you can do to strengthen your knee and reduce knee pain.

LEARN all the basics and what's new so you can feel confident you are doing things correctly and progress at your own pace while protecting your spine.

WHAT DOES IT ALL DO?

The core is made up of two systems: stabilization and movement. When performing core exercises you want to stabilize before attempting movement. Stabilization muscles include internal and external obliques, lumbar, and pelvic floor muscles. An example of a stabilization exercise is the supine bicycle. Plus you get ripped abs!

Our facility provides cardio equipment strength training FREE Group Classes like Chiseled, POUND, BARRE, Bootcamp, PiYo, Slow Flow, Vinyasa & Power Yoga, Cardio Core-Fit, Basic Training, Tabatta, Body Works, The Mixx, Gluteus Max-Out, Senior programming like Balance and stability , Functional Stability, Mobility& Flexibility classes that are all FREE included with membership, Core-Fit TRX/Kettlebell and other premium classes are available for a small $5 additional fee on a per class basis.
We have complete locker rooms /showers and a service support system to guide you on your way to a healthy lifestyle. New members also receive a Health History assessment and an equipment orientation with a Licensed Athletic Trainer plus access to a series of free workshops and clinics to help you jump start your workouts!
