Participants explored Jebel Madmar, one of the best locations for observing the complete Natih Formation and the different facies of the Natih-e member; discussed the development of intra-platform basins in the Cretaceous and; and were able to see basinal source rocks to shoal grainstone deposits and the effect of cyclicity, facies, diagenesis, and fractures on reservoir quality.
