Help the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society on their journey to zero waste! The Ag Society is looking for waste management staff to help fairgoers sort their trash, recycling, and compostable waste at the fair this year. With the help of our Island community, great strides toward our long-term goal of being a zero waste Fair have been made. Last year, staff and volunteers diverted 8,200 lbs of compostable materials and 10,200 lbs of recyclables from the landfill! The Ag Society is looking for adults to help in the waste stations, or at the new sorting station, and kids/teens to perform various classic and new "trash kid" jobs.

For the eighth summer running, Island Grown Initiative’s Community Lunch Program will provide free lunches throughout summer vacation to Island families to help bridge the nutrition gap while school is out. The program will run from July 2nd - August 30th.
