Congratulations to our 2024-2025 Artist of the Year: Rosalinda Verde Alexander!
Rosalinda (Rosalinda Alexander) been an example of excellence in performance art, community engagement, and arts advocacy for most of her life. She has been an active supporter, member, volunteer, and advocate for the Arts Consortium.
Rosalinda has performed locally and regionally with her band the PIMS (Rosalinda and the PIMS); she has been the creator and director of the Visalia Opera Company and now Green Rose Productions (Green Rose Productions). For the last 10 years she has been writing original play productions with the special needs community; first with The Creative Center and now with her team at the Green Rose Productions. Most recently Rosalinda created online videos for children during COVID and even engaged local youth in the production of these fantastical videos. She has recently produced the very successful Revenge of the Sea Witch, an original musical production written by the Green Rose Production team. She continues to inspire local artists to pursue their own creative visions.
Furthermore, Rosalinda has turned her advocacy into action as new Executive Director of the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce), where she is working to ensure that the arts are included and celebrated in that organization's many cultural activities.
