Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony May 8th, 2024
Sergeant Chad Bruce was a 22-year veteran of the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. He was found unresponsive at his home by family members.
Sergeant Bruce’s cause of death is unknown; it appears to be natural causes.
Sergeant Bruce began his career with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office in June 2002. He worked in Detentions, Patrol, the Gang Unit, and TAGNET. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2018 and was assigned to Patrol in Orosi. He was then transferred to TAGNET.
He is survived by his wife and four children.

It is with a heavy heart that the TCDSA announces the passing of Sgt. Chad Bruce.
Sgt. Bruce was a 22 year member of the Tulare County Deputy Sheriffs Association. Sgt Bruce was found unresponsive at his home earlier this day by family members.
