About TCCAPC
The Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) was incorporated as a non- profit agency in 1982. The CAPC is a community council whose primary purpose is to organize the community’s efforts to prevent and respond to child abuse, to coordinate and disseminate information regarding child abuse, and to improve the quality of services provided by various public, community based, and private agencies to abused and neglected children.
The CAPC is the primary entity involved in the preparation and implementation of the county child abuse prevention plan, part of the 2012-2017 Child Protection Plan and provides recommendations to the county board of supervisors for the allocation of state Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT), Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) funding and county Children’s Trust Fund (CTF) monies.
