The Joshua Bembo Project: HOPE
Until there is a cure for cancer, may we find inspiration in this young boy's three simple words: CALM, FEARLESS, BRAVE. Please visit www.joshuabembo.com
This page is dedicated to Joshua Bembo who lost his battle with brain cancer last March 01, 2013. He was 9 years old. Until there is a cure for cancer, may we find inspiration in his three simple words: CALM, FEARLESS, BRAVE.

On this solemn day, we remember and honor the precious life of a child who left us too soon. ๐๏ธ

Eleven years have passed since you left our world, yet your memory remains etched in our hearts โค๏ธ like a delicate, fading whisper. Your laughter, your innocence, and the joy you brought to those around you are forever imprinted in the tapestry of our lives.
Though your time with us was brief, the impact you made was profound. You taught us resilience, compassion, and the fragility of existence. Your absence left an ache that time cannot heal, but it also gifted us with a deeper appreciation for every fleeting moment.
Today, we light a candle ๐ฏ๏ธ in your honorโa beacon of love โค๏ธ that transcends time ๐ and space. We remember your favorite stories ๐, the way you danced ๐คพ in rain puddles at your elementary school, and the warmth of your beautiful hand in ours. We cherish the memories we shared, even as tears ๐ข blur the lines between past and present.
As the seasons change, we find solace in knowing that you are part of the universeโs ๐ชeternal rhythm. The stars โจ above, the rustling leaves, and the gentle breezeโthey all carry whispers of your spirit. You are not forgotten; you are woven into the fabric of our souls.
To the child who touched our lives with grace beyond measure, we offer this tribute. May your journey beyond this realm be filled with wonder, laughter, and boundless love. Rest peacefully, dear Joshua, as we hold you close in our memories. ๐๐ค๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ช๐ง โค๏ธ

Thank you, AYJ Fund, Children's Brain Tumor Project Foundation , Elizabeth's Hope and The Joshua Bembo Project: HOPE for planning a beautiful rooftop reception. It's so important that we share ideas outside of a scientific setting sometimes!

Please share this invite for anyone interested in attending this event. We'll take a step back from the esoteric and unusual and instead focus on the simple steps families can take to ensure they are ready to meet their surgeon armed with appropriate expectations, testing and the information to take control. This will include a real Chiari family for the patient perspective. If there are topics related to this you believe should be included feel free to reply below or message! See you soon New York City!

Because of the past 9 years of successes of the Kids First Program and Data Resource Center, Representative Jennifer Wexton (D-VA10), re-introduced the Kids First legislation which passed the House last year, but fell short by one vote of unanimous consent in the Senate. As with the original bill, HR 3391 will also provide Kids First with a five year reauthorization of $25 million per year. Over the next five year period, Kids First will be able to expand a truly comprehensive SHARED-DATA resource for scientists researching the majority of pediatric cancers and rare disease, and will continue to support development of computational tools to analyze very large, complex genomic, and clinical data sets. Has your Representative cosponsored yet? If not, please let them know how important it is to you.

What are We Raising our Banner For
We raise our banner for HOPE.
We raise our banner for the hope that those who are still alive and are suffering from a brain cancer may continue to live. And so that those dear parents need not suffer grief for their children, nor those children need not grow without a parent.
We hope that thereโd be the cure for brain cancer.
We know that the realization of this hope comes only when we have committed scientists, medical experts, families, organizations, institutions or individuals joining forces together. So we raise our banner high and call upon everyone to join us in this HOPE for the cure of brain cancer. Youโre simple act of support makes a difference.
