On this solemn day, we remember and honor the precious life of a child who left us too soon. 🕊️

𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮
Eleven years have passed since you left our world, yet your memory remains etched in our hearts ❤️ like a delicate, fading whisper. Your laughter, your innocence, and the joy you brought to those around you are forever imprinted in the tapestry of our lives.

Though your time with us was brief, the impact you made was profound. You taught us resilience, compassion, and the fragility of existence. Your absence left an ache that time cannot heal, but it also gifted us with a deeper appreciation for every fleeting moment.

Today, we light a candle 🕯️ in your honor—a beacon of love ❤️ that transcends time 🕛 and space. We remember your favorite stories 📚, the way you danced 🤾 in rain puddles at your elementary school, and the warmth of your beautiful hand in ours. We cherish the memories we shared, even as tears 😢 blur the lines between past and present.

Because of the past 9 years of successes of the Kids First Program and Data Resource Center, Representative Jennifer Wexton (D-VA10), re-introduced the Kids First legislation which passed the House last year, but fell short by one vote of unanimous consent in the Senate. As with the original bill, HR 3391 will also provide Kids First with a five year reauthorization of $25 million per year. Over the next five year period, Kids First will be able to expand a truly comprehensive SHARED-DATA resource for scientists researching the majority of pediatric cancers and rare disease, and will continue to support development of computational tools to analyze very large, complex genomic, and clinical data sets.
