Next Monday, April 18th from 7:00PM-8:30PM!

Join us for an evening with Washington State Poet Laureate Rena Priest. She is a member of the Lhaq'temish (Lummi) Nation and author of Patriarchy Blues, which was honored with the 2018 American Book award. Rena Priest is focusing on two primary goals during her term: celebrating poetry in Washington’s tribal communities, and using poetry to increase appreciation of the natural world and the threats facing it. She is the first Indigenous poet to be the state’s Poet Laureate.

Ms. Priest will read her work and take questions from the audience at the Walla Walla Public Library.
