Your ticket includes a buffet style dinner, 8 games of bingo, raffles and a night of 80’s fun. All proceeds to benefit local 501(c)(3) entities. Cash equivalent prizes for all winners!

Almost immediately Casey began learning the ropes of our Community Service committee and soon after to took the lead on finding and coordinating our participation at various community service opportunities. Organizing volunteer opportunities at multiple events. Casey has exemplified the spirit of Rotary by ensuring our members consistently contribute to the community. Congrats on earning your blue badge.

Ho ho ho!! Snapshot Santa and Mrs Claus made an appearance last night here in Walnut Creek! A big thank you to everyone who came out and supported our fundraiser and to the volunteers as well!

Rookie of the Year - Casey Weider, joined the Diablo View Rotary Club in Feb 2023 and wasted no time in making a significant impact. Almost immediately Casey began learning the ropes of our Community Service committee and soon after to took the lead on finding and coordinating our participation at various community service opportunities. Organizing volunteer opportunities at multiple events - dinner service and fundraiser for Trinity Center, Walnut Creek Day of Service, Lafayette Art and Wine Festival to name only a few - has resulted in the opportunity to volunteer in the community consistently 1-2x/month. Casey has exemplified the spirit of Rotary by ensuring our members consistently contribute to the community.

We had a great time passing out candy for the trunk or treat event at Civic Park in Walnut Creek. It was a huge turnout. Stay safe this weekend. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻🕷️

Join Diablo View Rotary Club of Walnut Creek at Walnut Creek’s 4th annual Trunk or Treat at Civic Park on Friday, October 27 from 3-6pm! We will be providing sweet treats at this safe, fun, and FREE community event. After stopping by our trunk, your family will love the bounce houses, face painting, train, and crafty activities throughout the park. See you there! 🎃 👻 🕷️

Bancroft Elementary was one of over 20 sites for Walnut Creek Community Service Day. There were roughly 40-50 people there throughout the morning. Some youth volunteer groups (Scouts, etc.) and lots of families as well. Casey’s focus was on cleaning the playground, Jerry and Stephanie helped with removing weeds all over the property, Dan was on trash collection and then helped paint. There was a small group of people who were directing tasks that were affiliated with the school. They were very kind and grateful for support.

We said goodbye to Summer with a fellowship BBQ & pool party at the Morgan’s. Even the little babies joined in. Amazing food and great conversations.

Thank you to Matt Morgan Hector Mendez and Andrew Jison for representing Diablo View Rotary Club at the First Tee - Contra Costa golf tournament fundraiser today. Great weather, good company, and a great cause.

Last night the Diablo View Rotary club participated in the Lady Bug project - where hundreds of bags of feminine products are packaged up and distributed to women in our community who do not have the means to purchase those products. We also had some assistance from the Rotary club of Concord. The Lady Bug project has distributed several thousand bags to those in need in Contra Costa County.

The Trinity Center serves breakfast and lunch daily for our homeless. Diablo View Rotary club members cooked and served breakfast this morning and received the most heartfelt thank you card from one of the recipients. Warmed our hearts.

Marsha and Mike presented Polio Plus efforts and impacts to our club tonight. Did you know there are only 7 cases of the wild polio virus in the world and in 1988, there were 1,000 cases a day amongst 120 countries. Rotary has made polio eradication the #1 humanitarian effort and have saved millions of lives with the distribution of the vaccine. There is no cure, only prevention. Thanks Marsha & Mike.

Rotary Means Business!

Diablo View Rotary club members getting some practice swings in for an upcoming fundraiser.

Tonight we heard from speakers representing Girls on the Run of the Bay Area. They help lift up young women averaging age 9 through running. They have over 200 chapters nationwide and have helped over 30,000 young women in the Bay Area alone. They are seeking coaches, volunteers, and donations to support their efforts.

Last night we heard from this amazing 11 year old who shared how Underdog Animal Rescue has nurtured, fostered, homed, and saved over 3,000 dogs in the Bay Area. They need donations for medical care, a short bus, kennels, etc.

Diablo View Rotary was welcomed on the marquee tonight for a tour of the movie theater renovation project. Tracey and Kathy are on the board of the Park Theater Trust, the organization that is overseeing the purchase and renovation of the Park Theater in downtown Lafayette. The plans for the $9M renovated space include a community meeting room in addition to 2 theatres and a wine bar. It's going to be an incredible addition to the downtown Lafayette area.

BINGO Night was a success. Raised over $5,000 for Diablo View Rotary Club & Sustainable Contra Costa’s foundations. Thank you to all our volunteers who made this night so fun and groovy!
