DATE/TIME:
Saturday, October 12, 2024 / 11am – 5pm

TO PREPARE:
A one-minute monologue that showcases you.

SEEKING:
Jason/Tyrone: Male presenting to play late teens. His father has just died, he is hurt, introverted, anxious, sad, and struggling with so much emotion he can not put it into words. Through his puppet, Tyrone, he is able to unleash with unabandoned control. PUPPET skills and previous experience necessary.

Jessica/Jolene: Female presenting to play late teens. Jessica has suppressed the world around her, has a longing to be loved but doesn’t know how to achieve that. Pleasant, polite, patient, and maybe a little goth. Jessica’s puppet is Jolene, who is overly sexualized and aggressive. PUPPET skills and previous experience necessary.

Timmy: Male presenting to play late teens. Troubled, typical bad boy attitude, over-speaks his mind without fear of consequences. Alpha male who thinks he is in love with Margery and willing to do anything for her. Must be willing to get physical with the actor who plays Margery – kissing, biting, touching, and other stage violence. Gets ear bitten off by the puppet Tyrone.

Margery: Female presenting to play the mother of a late teen, Jason. Recently widowed, devout Christian. Hurting, caring, loving, awkward and does her best to always lighten a situation. A bit impulsive and desperate to find a connection again back in her life. The Puppet Ministry is her attempt to do just that. Strong sexuality hidden; she is a powder keg about to explode. Must be willing to get physical with the actor who plays Timmy – kissing, biting, touching, and other stage violence.

Pastor Greg: Male presenting who is described as a nice guy in slacks. A Texas Preacher who always wants to follow in the path that God has laid out for him. He is lonely, fragile, and desperately in love with Margery. Leading man with a whiff of a buffoon clinging to him. He faces the devil and his beliefs head-on.
