2023 had been full of wins, losses and lessons…AND I’m Grateful for it all….Cheers to 2024🥂

Many have asked what’s next….

I have prayed really hard cause yall know I LOVE sharing my journey seeing as though I am ONE☝🏽of the possibility models the “I think I can Journey”……BUT THIS TIME I’m going to do it differently……Ima move Silently with this one🤐(Plus policy around Social Media is thick lol😎)

…..I WILL share this, BECAUSE soooo many folks have shaped this Journey(Not Tagging Folks)…..my next assignment is NOT specifically with the TGNC Community AND its NOT out front BUT Im still at the forefront of development, decision making and the NOW the influencing of funding and giving….and for that Im grateful for this opportunity…..

……this work will be in many ways entirely new…..my entire career has been surrounded working inclusively with the LGBTQ community and programming around Trans Health and ONLY in the nonprofit sector….while Im prepared for the next and earger to grow in areas that fear and lack of experience ALWAYS closed the doors…..this is still a NEW space for me!!!!

So wish me luck and just know I will still be creating and working really hard to ensure policy, laws and economic support reaches my community…..I am still supporting some of the long term consultancies I’ve held with Agencies. I will NOT be accepting ANY clients in 2024

My dear friend, Brother and Business Partner Mark Kornmann lost his Brother this morning and another Brother earlier this year….Will you join me in asking God to touch him and his Family…. Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues, after much consideration, prayers and the support from the BOD of TransSolutions Research & Resource Center I have decided this is a great season for me to take a step away and watch, support and celebrate the next chapter of Trans Solutions; December 31, 2023 will be my last day serving as the Executive Director.

Over the last 3 years I have worked extremely hard to ensure Trans Solutions is fiscally responsible, thriving and in good standing and as I take a BOD position, I will continue making strides towards trans liberation.

I am incredibly grateful for the moments building relationships, sharing community experiences and raising a bunch of hell lol, ALWAYS in love and respect but firm in understanding that Equity for Black and Brown Communities MUST be at the forefront of our work in all intersections of Public Health.

The lessons learned on this journey, the support and forgiveness extended has created a journey that has been immensely inspiring, rewarding and valuable and will continue shaping Trans Solutions in countless ways.

However, as we evolve new paths beckon. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and memories that I’ll cherish forever. Please know that my departure doesn’t diminish the value of our continued partnership and support ; it simply signifies this very important and pivotal phase in the growth and advancement of Trans Solutions.

I’m excited about what lies ahead, as our next generation of leadership Flomichelle L Battles will carry the experiences and wisdom gained on her lifelong journey. I ask for you to extend the same grace, love and support you have bestowed upon me over the years!

I believe in the strength of our Community and Thank you for being a part of this story; your impact on me will endure for many more years to come.
