OPM launches cyber rotational program for feds The new rotational program is an outgrowth of 2022 legislation backed by Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., who chairs the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Our nation has seen a rise in threats posed by domestic extremism, including towards federal buildings & employees.
Chairman Senator Gary Peters & the Director of the Federal Protective Service discussed how to secure these facilities and address these threats.
The Federal Protective Service submitted over 25,000 safety reports from 2017 to 2021, but agencies ignored more than half of them.
If agencies don’t make changes, their facilities could face security risks.
