Tasneem Alsultan’s () “Saudi Tales of Love” is one of ten collections by women artists featured in The Middle East Institute’s exhibition “Louder Than Hearts: Women Photographers from the Arab World and Iran” - curated by award-winning photographer Rania Matar () in partnership with Tribe Magazine ().

Alsultan is a Saudi visual storyteller and photographer celebrated for her portrayal of social issues within the Arab Gulf region. Her series “Saudi Tales of Love,” explores marriage, love, and societal expectations in Saudi Arabia. Informed by her personal journey through marriage and divorce, Alsultan’s work delves into the complexities of relationships and the interplay of tradition and individual choice.

Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United States, H.E. Motaz Zahran held a private roundtable discussion on July 25 at the Middle East Institute, moderated by Mirette F. Mabrouk, Director of MEI’s Egypt and Horn of Africa Program. Ambassador Zahran discussed a variety of issues critical for Egypt and its neighbors, as well as Egyptian-US relations.
