Commit to growth and prevent tax increases.
That's the message from more than 500 chambers and associations across the country, as they call on the next Congress and administration to prevent tax increases that would hit American families and businesses, and instead pursue a pro-growth agenda that would foster capital investment, job creation, and higher wages.

On this day of remembrance, we honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who responded to the events of September 11, 2001.
For Jienelle Herndon, that day ignited a sense of duty that led her to enlist in the Air Force. Her journey from military service to civilian life, supported by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes and programs like the Post-9/11 GI Bill, exemplifies the resilience and dedication of those who selflessly answered the call to serve our nation after the harrowing events on 9/11. Today, as a health insurance specialist, Herndon continues to make a difference in the civilian workforce.
As we reflect on the events of 9/11 and honor those who chose to serve in its aftermath, it’s crucial to recognize that supporting veterans as they transition is about more than just fulfilling our duty to those who have served—it’s about ensuring the ongoing strength and resilience of our nation.
Read Jienelle's story:
From Service to Success: Jienelle Herndon’s Journey and the Critical Importance of Supporting Veterans Supporting veterans, like Jienelle as they transition into civilian employment is a matter of national security.
On this solemn day, we remember those currently serve or have served to protect our country, as well as the lives impacted by the events of 9/11. Their legacy lives on. .
"If we aren't coordinating, if we aren't reducing burden, if we aren't simplifying, we aren't being consistent, then you all in the private sector are going to say we're going to go someplace else."
-Don Graves Deputy Secretary of Commerce for the Biden administration on the need for a strategic and supportive approach from the U.S. leadership and private sector to foster growth in the space industry.

Not all tax policies are created equal.
The next Congress and administration must pursue comprehensive solutions for a pro-growth and globally competitive tax code. Take a look 👇
Tax policy should promote growth, raise wages, boost economy Maintaining and improving pro-growth tax policy next year will ensure the U.S. is globally competitive, retaining and attracting businesses, jobs, investment, and innovation.
Did you know? The pro-growth tax rate enacted in 2017 resulted in several major economic indicators outperforming estimates.
Learn more about how a competitive tax code improves living standards for American workers, families, and entire communities. https://www.uschamber.com/taxes/how-pro-growth-tax-policy-raises-wages-improves-the-economy
We all benefit from pro-growth tax policies: Before the TCJA tax cuts, the average hourly earnings for production and non-supervisory workers grew at a rate of 2.4% per year.
After the tax cuts, wage growth for these workers increased to 3.7%: https://www.uschamber.com/taxes/how-pro-growth-tax-policy-raises-wages-improves-the-economy
Thanks to TCJA gains, by April 2020, the average worker was earning +$1,400 more per year than the previous trend predicted.
