The ‘Safer Firearm Storage’ event was a success and we are proud to be part of it yearly. Thanks to the LeMoyne Community Center for hosting, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, UPMC Washington Hospital Police and Equitrans Midstream Foundation for providing safes and to all providers for their educational information and handouts. 🇺🇸👍⭐️

Our office along with South Strabane Township Police Department and Chartiers Township Police were very humbled and honored to present medals to the Washington/Greene County Special Olympics athletes at their golf outing event this evening at the Washington Country Club 🥇🥈🥉 👍🙏💪 Congratulations to the athletes again and thank you for including local law enforcement in your events !!

We are beyond pleased to announce our first satellite concealed carry permit event was a success. Our staff processed almost 100 applications today! ! Thank you to Mount Pleasant Township VFC - Hickory, Washington County, PA and Mt Pleasant Township Police Department for providing the facilities and support. Sheriff Andronas is pleased to bring this service to the community and make it convenient for residents who cannot visit our office during normal business hours. 🇺🇸

Our office was happy to participate in the Mon Valley National Night Out, hosted in Rostraver Township. Great to see all the First Responders in attendance and thank you to all of the attendees who showed up in support of the area agencies! On Thursday, the Beyond the Call of Duty Rolling Memorial Trailer arrived in the City of Washington to remember Cpl. Chad Beattie.

Family members and co workers gathered to remember Chad.

This trailer is based out of Spokane, Washington and travels all over the United States paying tribute to fallen officers.

It was a humbling experience and we are thankful for the members of the community that came out to show their support.

Sheriff Andronas would like to congratulate our very own K-9 unit, Deputy Salzman and K9 Sammi, for winning the “article search” segment at the Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association summer training conference K9 competition. All K9 teams performed flawlessly in today’s warm weather and it was great to see the camaraderie amongst the sheriff office teams. ⭐️🇺🇸

Sheriff Tony Andronas is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a satellite LTC application event @ Mt. Pleasant Firehall on Sunday August 18th 2024. Our office is happy to offer this service to county residents that cannot make it to the WC sheriff's office during the week!

Canonsburg Borough kicked off the 4th of July holiday this evening with a hot dog eating contest ! Our very own Sgt. Ronald Catrain pulled off a win against some stiff competition. We are so proud to announce that our agency received a grant from Range Resources Good Neighbor Fund through the Washington County Community Foundation! Almost 50 local first responders agencies received these grants.

We received the grant for our D.A.R.E and Community relations programs. We are grateful and excited to put this grant to good use.

We were excited to participate in 3rd annual summer outreach at Midway Borough Park. Our deputies had a blast engaging with the community. Thanks for the invite! 🚔⭐️🚓
