Each year, our recreation staff gears up for summer by learning CPR from the Waukee Fire Department. Being CPR certified can make all the difference in an emergency! Save your spot now for a CPR certification class in August or October at Waukee.org/Registration.

Get your kids moving this summer with our Ultimate Frisbee camp! We teamed up with Central Iowa Ultimate and Ultimate Frisbee Association to offer a week-long camp of mini-games, drills and fun for ages 10-14. 🥏

We're taking entries for this year's Independence Day Parade on July 4! Participation is free, and we invite your business or organization to apply by 10 p.m. on June 30. Submit your entry now at Waukee.org/July.

A few key things to know:
1. Candy is allowed but no water balloons, water guns or spraying water at spectators.
2. The parade is a community event for all families and all ages, so keep your float to a “G” rating.
3. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the floats, vehicles or in the staging area.
4. No loud noise makers (horns, sirens) in the parade, so the parade is enjoyable for everyone.

Looking for a local opportunity to give back? We are now accepting volunteers for our MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event on June 15! This skills competition will give athletes ages 7-14 the chance to perform and potentially advance to the Pitch, Hit & Run Finals at the 2024 World Series. Volunteers will help take down scores and direct participants. ⚾

Kick off summer with our inclusive adapted soccer program! We're using Can Play's curriculum to adapt soccer skills and drills for everyBODY. During the training, our curriculum manager, Amanda Oleson, led the group through our abilities, curriculum, and adaptations. Soccer programs begin in June and registration is open!
