Fox Springs-June Day Camp

Yes, you are reading that right. Due to The School District of Waukesha getting out of school during the week that we would usually have camp, we are making the move to Camp Silverbrook in West Bend. We can't wait for the new adventures that we know will be had at our new camp!!

We were handed a list of one of our camper’s favorite things at camp today. , everything we do at camp is on this list.

We love our campers almost as much as they love camp, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hi everyone, Rizzo here. Happy halfway!!!

Just a quick reminder that it can get hot hot hot out at camp now that the sun is finally out, but it is it B E A UTIFUL in the shade. If your camper doesn’t like to drink plain old regular ice cold water, please send them with some drink packets so we can make sure they stay hydrated.

Also, it seems that there are ticks out and about this year. The best thing I know of that can help prevent ticks is actual bug spray, the citronella bands and patches don’t help. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your campers (and yourselves if you’re here) when they get home.

Tomorrow is Rainbow day!! Please be sure to check the colors below, as well as the forecast. There was a teensy chance of some not fun weather, so just make sure you have a poncho or raincoat packed for them.

If you and/or your PeeWee, Kindergartener or 1st grader wear red
2nd grade wear orange
3rd grade wear yellow
4th grade wear green
5th grade wear blue
6th grade wear purple
PAs (and station adults) wear all the colors of the rainbow.

LET’S PLAY and have tons of today!! It’s the first day of camp and we can’t wait to see everyone! Flag is at 8:30am, first station is at 10:20 am with lunch after. Closing flag is at 4:00 with busses leaving at 4:30pm
Don’t forget a bagged lunch, hat, waterbottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and all your other Day Camp essentials.
Today is crazy/mismatched day so if you can, wear two different socks, stripes with dots, whatever feels crazy to you!!

Car riding is a bit wonky and if you are volunteering a day or two it may still say all week for a car. As long as you don’t need a bus, just ignore that part. ☺️

Day Camp Theme Days 2024
Theme Days are optional so no worries if you just can't find something to wear for a theme day. Please don't bring or wear anything expensive or sentimental.

Today (May 15th) is the LAST DAY to register for Day Camp, for everyone (campers, volunteers, boys, peewees and PAITs).

Make sure to register for Day Camp TODAY (May1st!) After today the fee for campers will go up to $220!!!
Registration for everyone closes May 15th!

All campers (1st-5th grade) will be put on a waitlist until there are enough volunteers, each day, to be with their unit. If you need volunteer updates for your camper’s unit, please email us at [email protected].

If you are new to our camp, come on by and visit Rizzo and Snickers, they will be at the Lodge answering any camp questions you have. If you are not new to camp, come anyway and enjoy the beautiful weather and take a stroll around camp.

This is a reminder that Day Camp Early Bird Registration ends at 11:59pm on March 1st and PA Registration closes completely. Please head over to https://gswise.campintouch.com/ui/forms/application/camper/App to start your campers application today to save some $$$.
Also, another reminder, there is a waitlist implemented for all campers (not PAs, PAITs, boys, or peewees). This waitlist is to help get enough volunteers to be with our troops/units. In order to be released from the waitlist and finish registration, your camper must have a volunteer registered to be with them everyday of camp. If your camper is part of a troop with a 5 day volunteer, that counts as coverage and they can be released. Individually registered Girl Scouts will be assessed on a case by case basis and may join units with enough coverage without a volunteer with them. Our Day Camp is not full. 😊

Another found item to add to lost and found is a silver necklace pendant without the chain.
It seems like a more expensive and special pendant so if you or your camper lost a necklace at camp, please PM us and describe what was lost.
