We are thankful for our amazing staff of Athletic Trainers here at SportsCare!
Kennedy is an impressive young athlete! She plays basketball, soccer, and hockey but had to undergo knee surgery, which kept her on the sidelines last year. We cant wait to see what she accomplishes this year! 🏀⚽️🏒
Juan was in a motorcycle accident about 2 years ago in which he was paralyzed from the neck down, and he did the first year and a half of PT at an inpatient facility. He then came to our Outpatient office in hopes of progressing himself to further independence. Melvin took him on to his schedule at SportsCare CK2.
At the time, Juan came in on lofstrand crutches and had a very hard time keeping himself upright and walking forward without assistance, but in this video, he can be seen taking his first steps independently in a long time!
Melvin has been treating him for close to 3 months, focusing on Neuromusclar Rehab and he has seen an improvement in his gait/transfers. They are still working on his coordination of movement and functional mobility, but Juan is a very dedicated patient who wants to use every minute of PT to get better!
Since we had some flurries today, we wanted to share these shoveling tips before it’s too late! 😆🌨️
