The 4th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry Regiment

This past weekend the 4th New Jersey put on a Civil War Camporee for the Scouts at Citta Scout reservation! It was a great attendance by all. The scouts were able to see several aspects of life during the 1860's.

The rain held out today. The 4th was on display today at Seaside St. Patrick's Day Parade....

As we wrapped up our 2023 Season, All of us at the 4th New Jersey would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, happy holidays and a happy and Healthy new year!!!!

160th Gettysburg After Action report: As I sit year rethinking this past event I am having trouble finding the words. Roughly 10 years ago we started this unit with an idea to focus on making a fun family unit atmosphere. We began at the 150th Antietam with 6 people. On Saturday we had two companies of 29 men. We were also aided by our 3 guide-ons, our medical staff and the ladies in camp. All total we had approximately 40 members present. I would like to thank all the members of the 4th who put in time to make this weekend a success. Patrick Ray who was promoted to 1st Lt for the event preformed his duty with honor. Also stepping up to help this weekend was our 1st Sgt Jeff Edison and Gabe. We also had great support from our Corporals, Chuck Joe, John and Greg. Also taking on a helping role was Jackson who oversaw our young guide-ons and did a spectacular job!
Last but certainly not least I would like to thank Bob and Jerri Chadwick. There countless efforts have allowed this unit to be this successful.

After 10 years as Captain I had one goal and that was to one day bring to battle a big company to prove that our efforts were not in vain. On Saturday that dream became a reality. I do not know how much longer I will be at the forefront of the 4th, but I would like to thank all our members who have allowed me a great opportunity to lead such an amazing group of people

Our first meeting of 2023 will be on Sunday January 22 at 10 am located at 189 Wemrock road in Freehold NJ.

The 4th New Jersey concluded its 2022 season today at our annual Christmas in the field event. This event also was the final event of our 10 year anniversary as been a reenactment organization. We would like to thank you all for your continued support and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year

4th new Jersey 160th Antietam

Please join us at our Civil War tea on Sept. 17th at 12 noon. Learn some history of the Civil War and how to talk with a handkerchief. Plenty of food and fun. The soldiers will be there to es**rt you in and help carry any gift baskets to your car should you win at our gift auction. It is $30.00 for the tea with a separate gift auction.
