Every year in the first week of September, Workplace Lactation Week is celebrated. This year’s theme, Workplace Lactation Week: 2024 Theme: Policy to Practice: Making Lactation Support a Reality, highlights the incredible progress made in recent years, with three major federal laws—the PUMP Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, and updated Title IX Regulations—now in place to protect and support nursing mothers and parents in the workplace and in education.

WIC supports lactation in the workplace by helping WIC clients obtain breast pumps and offering peer counselor and IBCLC support.

The WIC program provides nutrition education and food benefits for pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children up to their 5th birthday. For eligibility, please call 630-682-7400 or visit our website at www.dupagehealth.org.

Why I-PASS Assist?

Due to up-front costs and ongoing financial responsibilities required of customers to both obtain and keep I-PASS accounts in good standing, too often it is those who can least afford it who are unable to obtain or retain these benefits. The program is to enable more customers to attain and retain the benefits of I-PASS, while implementing additional measures intended to mitigate the disparate impact that transportation costs have on low-income households.
