Today, DuPage County remembers the victims and families impacted by the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and the courage of the first responders who assisted throughout the aftermath. Though many years have passed, their memories will never be forgotten.
District 6 County Board Members Sheila Rutledge, Greg Schwarze, and Jim Zay joined Carol Stream trustees on Monday for the grand re-opening of Community Park in Carol Stream. The County provided $1 million in funds from the Community Development Block Grant to the park district to help the project.

Thanks to all who made today’s Mental Health Summit such a great success. Former U.S. Congressman Patrick Kennedy’s keynote address provided both information and inspiration. The afternoon panelists shared local perspectives and ideas for helping our DuPage residents. We were also thrilled to check on the progress of the DuPage Crisis Recovery Center set to open next summer.
