Joseph Fisher is a Friends University Falcon and is working with Mrs. Strawn this school year! He once broke the fingers on his right hand and played a trumpet solo competition with his left hand. That’s amazing!

Thank you for the music AND for teaching students how to play instruments (including voices) in school bands, choirs, orchestras, & other performance groups.

These outstanding senior music education students were invited to serve as adjudicators for a middle school music festival in St. John, Kansas on Wednesday. Adjudicating their first music festival, they helped provide a positive experience for the student musicians who participated in the festival.

These future music educators are: Rebeccah, Tim, Salma, Adam, Micah, and Sydnee.

Music Educators! Make sure to stop in and say hi at our Kansas Music Educators Association booth Feb. 25-26 and attend one of our workshops or performances. There will also be a reception at AVI Seabar & Chophouse Friday night.

Congratulations to this semester’s Conducting 1 students for successfully conducting the university concert band! They have spent the semester learning basic conducting techniques as well as the foundations for score study and rehearsal prep. Today was the culmination of their work. Bravo to all!
