Today, I had the opportunity to join the Kansas Black Leadership Council Brunch in Wichita, where the lively atmosphere and enthusiastic engagement left me truly inspired. The keynote speaker, Mark McCormick, delivered the impactful message: "No one is coming to save us." This deeply resonates with me, aligning with my personal beliefs.

District 85 deserves leadership that genuinely listens to the community's voices. Kansas deserves a government that prioritizes its people in areas such as healthcare, education, workers' rights, agricultural supports, economic mobility, and enhanced community resources. The time is now. Let's unite, collaborate, and strive to improve our community. Help me flip Dist. 85!

Interesting Fact: While at Wichita State, I started my first internship at The Community Voice . I am grateful to Bonita Gooch for her dedication to documenting Kansas's rich Black history and culture. My political journey featured in the newspaper, which helped shape my early experiences in politics, communication, and journalism. WHAT A TIME! 🌼
