Congrats to AE student, Jackson Caldwell! Jackson Caldwell was named the American Athletic Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the Men’s Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Caldwell is the second-straight Shocker to be named the AAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, after Brock Rodden (baseball) claimed the honor last year, and is the Shockers’ first Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year since Wichita State joined The American in 2017.

The Wichita State University chapter of the Sigma Gamma Tau National Honor Society for Aerospace Engineering inducted 28 new members on 19th April 2024. Dr. Roy Myose, the SGT National Secretary-Treasurer and Regional coordinator, swore in the new batch of high achieving students and faculty.

Congrats to RJ Kunde on being selected the College of Engineering's Outstanding Senior of the Year! Hailing from DeKalb, Illinois, RJ transitioned from a business degree at Northern Illinois University to Aerospace Engineering at Wichita State University in 2021. At WSU, he holds leadership roles as the President of the Mortar Board Honor Society and team lead of his AE628 Senior Design team. He's recognized as a NASA Jump Start Scholar and an Aerospace Engineering Honors student. RJ aspires to graduate studies and a career as a test pilot and astronaut.
