Wesley Healthcare offers expert, compassionate support for new mothers who want to breastfeed or have difficulties breastfeeding. Lactation consultant Andrea Alvis said it's all about the care. "It’s about providing the support system and the community they need," she said. "And to give them the courage to help them make the best healthcare decisions for themselves and their babies."
Alvis had to clock more than 1,000 hours of hands-on training with new mothers and 95 credit hours with boards to become internationally certified as a breastfeeding/lactation expert. During World Breastfeeding Week and every day, we take a moment to applaud her commitment!
