Many thanks to some of the medical students and staff at the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine for volunteering at the Harry Hynes Memory Garden. The students walked around the gardens to catalog the names of the memorials and honorariums in the bricks and pavers. This effort will allow families to have a map of whose bricks and pavers are where. Thanks to our awesome volunteers - Jami, Mannat, Tristen, Sarah, and Becky.

Today, we hosted our Third Annual Blessing of the Hands. A “Blessing of Hands” ceremony is a tradition that is practiced around the world and done probably since the time of Florence Nightingale, a 19th-century nurse considered the founder of modern nursing. Human touch is such a crucial part of health care. The Blessing of the Hands is a way to acknowledge the importance of human touch, while also honoring the spiritual aspects found in patient care. Whether you are clinical or support staff, your hands do the work of taking care of our patients in one way or another.
Our team is enjoying visiting with so many people today at the PBS Senior Expo at the Extension Office at 21st St. N. and Ridge. Stop by and see us!
