You can influence the next generation for Christ! Even if you don't personally know any children, your prayers for the kids who study God's Word through BSF can make a powerful difference. Please pray this week that these young hearts and minds would grow in their faith.

Have you claimed true freedom that's found only through the Name and blood of Jesus? If so, how can you thank Him today for your freedom from sin's bo***ge?

The word, Advent, is defined as "the arrival of a notable person, thing or event." Many believers like to observe Advent each Sunday through the month of December as they wait in eager anticipation for the celebration of Christ's birth on 12/25.

Each week has a different theme...Hope, Faith, Joy and Peace. Through the season of Advent, we reflect on Christ's provision of hope, faith, joy and peace in the hearts of those who believe in Him. In faith, we can also expectantly look to the future, when Christ will forever bring hope, joy and peace in heaven!

How can you focus on the Hope found in Jesus this week?

God helps His children trust Him and uphold truth with grace and courage.

Let's Pray: Dear God, please help me love others in the way I speak and act this weekend. Help me to stand for your Truth with grace and to know how to share the Truth about your Son, Jesus, with those I will interact with.

"Jesus answered, 'My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.'" - John 7:16

The world around us may proclaim that truth is a personal decision, but ultimately each one of us must choose whether or not to obey God...the only source of real Truth!

God uses our perplexity to call us to Himself and to trust Him with what we do not understand.

Life doesn't always make sense...in fact, most of the time it doesn't make sense. Jesus is the safest One you can go to in good and in hard times. Choose Him today...He alone can meet your needs and give you the joy of eternal life with Him!

"Simon Peter answered him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.'" - John 6:68-69

As you depend on the Lord for faith to believe, He repeatedly confirms that He treasures you as His own.

Jesus loves you! He alone is able to fill your deepest need. Turn to Him today!

Please take some time this week to specifically pray for BSF churches and classes facing persecution around the world. Pray that God will give special strength and powerful protection over these believers. This is one great way to care for God's church globally!

Are you filling your mind and heart with "junk food" or God's Truth? How can you lean into His safe arms this week and let Him meet your every need?

We need regular reminders that our strength is small, our needs are great, and our God is powerful.

God is King over all! Our attempts to control people, situations, life etc around us are weak and futile. Dependence on God's power is the only way forward.

Please take a few minutes to pray for churches around the world. Don't forget to include a specific prayer for the church family and pastor that hosts our BSF group!

God can do more than we could ever ask or imagine...He is a God of miracles! Do you have a small view of God's power or are you trusting that He can do big things?

We need never fear surrendering to Him who guards our souls and seeks our highest good.

What do you need to give over to God this week? He is trustworthy!

Jesus is Lord! He is worthy of all honor and glory! What have you been learning about Jesus through our study of John so far?

Only eternity will measure the fruit God will bring from your spiritual investments in people around you. God can be trusted with whatever you invest in His kingdom.

May what you do be for His glory, not your own!

Praying for others is a great way to show that you care for them! Gossip shouldn't be connected to prayers in any way as it can hurt and doesn't honor God.

Today, take a minute to pray for any BSF members that are struggling with doubt or a crisis of faith. Pray that they will encounter the God who hears, listens and cares for them this year!

Only Jesus can fully satisfy our deepest longings. Nothing in this world will ever be enough. Those who seek fulfillment in Christ experience freedom & fellowship with Him.

Self-worth, identity, belonging...are you seeking fulfillment on earth for these things or others? Turn to Jesus...He will meet all your needs and more!

Are you "thirsting" for the right things? Talk to God today...He can fill you up to overflowing in all areas of your life!

The giver of life is worthy of the wholehearted devotion of our lives.

Are you devoted to God? Take a minute to pray and ask for His help in growing a heart of devotion & commitment to Him.

How can you pray for the hurting around you? Sometimes our problems look really big until we hear about what others are dealing with. Ask a friend at BSF how you can pray for her and, if you know someone who has lost a loved one, take a minute to pray for that person by name today.

Let the words of this familiar Bible passage sink into your heart. God gave His only Son for your good. He loved you that much! How much should you then trust & obey Him!

Jesus works through ordinary moments of life to reveal His extraordinary power and authority.
