These beautiful flowers are brought to you by Frank, a kindhearted Care Receiver who made these arrangements and dropped them off at the office last week. He was making them for a wedding so he made extras; one for the staff and one for our volunteer Michelle!

-Canned or Mashed Potatoes
-Stuffing
-Spaghetti Sauce
-Pasta
-Canned or Cups of Fruit
-Cans of Tuna, Chicken, Protein
-Juice
-Canned Corn
-Canned Vegetables
-Canned Beans
-Canned Tomatoes
-Chunky Soups
-Granola Bars and Crackers
-Baby Food
Hunger and the need for food knows no season.

Here's how to stay safe:

Board members Lou, Rick, and Bob spent the morning sharing more information about Faith In Action and our mission to serve seniors through our amazing team of volunteers! How will you wear blue on 6/14 to celebrate Men's Health Week? This annual observance, established in 1994, is a time to help educate men and their families about the importance of being proactive about their health by implementing preventive health practices and healthy living decisions, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
Faith In Action provides access to healthcare and wellness for the men (and women) we serve. We will be wearing some teal blue on Friday!

Faith In Action welcomes care receivers, volunteers, staff and board members from all faith backgrounds, and much of our financial and volunteer support comes from local congregations. If you believe in serving senior adults, we encourage you to put your faith in action with us.
Faith In Action will be attending with other non-profits and community organizations on June 15 at Freedom Park in Williamsburg. Come learn some important history and celebrate freedom-- and look for our informational booth from Faith In Action!

Faith In Action celebrates connections every day, but especially this May. It's National Older Americans Month and the theme is
We give a lot of rides to medical appointments, but social connections are important too! Rides to the barber or hair salon are about confidence and connection. It's just one of the ways that we help volunteers serve and help seniors thrive!
The "theme" of Older Americans Month 2024 is . Connection is essential for all of us, but especially for seniors at risk for isolation.
Did you know we support connections in many ways, including helping our care receivers with their pets? We all treasure our four-legged friends, and Faith In Action care receivers can access veterinary care and other essential pet services, thanks to our volunteers.
Join us in wishing our beloved Patti a happy birthday! She has been an instrumental part of the Williamsburg Faith In Action team for many years.

We love our volunteers! They enable us to serve seniors in Williamsburg, JCC, and the Bruton District of Yorktown every day. They have already donated more than 1200 hours of time to make a local impact in our community.

Our Story
Williamsburg Faith In Action address two issues:
1.The desire of the elderly to age safely in their own homes without becoming a burden.
2.There is a pool of talented volunteers among retirees and faith-based communities. WFIA provides ready-made opportunities to channel these volunteers into providing needed services.
