Local teen to represent US in World Karate Championships With plenty of accolades on display, Aashi Parashar joined us on Wake Up! Thursday morning to share her story.

While a bit on the colder side (currently 63 F) with an intermittent breeze, no rain and otherwise a nice day! Setting up for our 4th annual Dragon Boat Festival in the village of Williamsville. 11:45 am to 2pm. Featuring a karate demo and a kenjutsu demo at 12pm and a performance by the incredible JGB Shibuki Japanese Drum Group, JGB 和太鼓しぶき at 1pm. Also, for the adventurous, after their set, JGB invites you to try your hand and playing one of their drums!

Advanced adult classes

I had an amazing time representing the dojo at the Pride Martial Arts 5th annual meat raffle that benefits the ALS Association! Thank you to Kris Davison for the invite to the event as well as inviting me to sit at his table with his lovely wife, her friends from work, the esteemed Jake Rozler, and his parents, and share their snacks. Not only did I win ground chuck, meatballs, ribs, and a surf and turf dinner for two, I also won a cool set of tuifa made by Kaiju Customs!
