Dental disease is more common in pets than you might think—it starts when bacteria, plaque, and tartar build up on their teeth and get trapped beneath the gumline. This can cause pain and lead to serious health issues as the bacteria can enter the bloodstream and affect major organs. By the age of three, most dogs and cats show some degree of dental disease.
Early signs to watch for include bad breath, yellow tartar buildup, and red, swollen gums. That’s why Dr. Tarter and Dr. Lantzer recommend an annual wellness visit that includes a full dental exam. Catching these issues early can make a big difference in your pet’s health and happiness. 🐶🐱❤️
Look at that happy face! 🐶❤️ Regular wellness exams are key to keeping your pets healthy and happy. Schedule your pet’s routine exam today and let’s keep those tails wagging! 🐾

It's ! 🎉 Microchipping is a simple and safe way to ensure that if your pet ever strays, they have a ticket home. A microchip is a tiny device, no bigger than a grain of rice, that's quickly and painlessly implanted under your pet’s skin. This little chip carries a unique ID number that can help reunite you with your furry friend in case they get lost.
At PVAH, we make the process stress-free for both you and your pet. Use the link to learn more about microchips and schedule an appointment this month! t.ly/XSx7S

👀✨ Look into my eyes! Regular check-ups can prevent common eye issues in your pets. Keep an eye out for signs like cloudiness or excessive tearing. During your pet's visit, we'll conduct a thorough eye exam to catch any early signs of trouble and discuss treatments to keep those peepers healthy.
Did you know that your dog's waste can throw off a whole ecosystem if it's not disposed of properly? While you may think that it acts as a fertilizer, it does the opposite. Dog waste does not break down on its own due to its high acidity and elevated levels of nitrogen and phosphorus. If it's not scooped up, the bacteria can infect fruits and vegetables, and pollute groundwater in the area!
