If there is one remedy I would suggest every person on the planet to have on-hand for their animals, and themselves, it is Arnica montana!
Although we typically use it for injuries that occur after blunt force traumas, it can also serve post operatively where there is usually a lot of trauma to tissues.
Most folks don't think of Arnica first for any BIG emotional trauma, but I have used this for decades when animals have an emotional trauma such as an altercation with a person or animal. I once used it for a dog that had been kidnapped from his yard, missing for weeks, then finally found by the pet parent. The dog was depressed and not as happy one would think he would have been returning to his home.
But Arnica brought this little guy back into his body and wholly back into his life!! How many things can do that!?
And if you don't know what remedy to give in a situation — always, always grab your Arnica! When in doubt, give Arnica!

I find this study interesting, showing how people and dogs are closely correlated when it comes to the accumulation of pollutant levels from chemical exposure. It's great that dogs can help us shoot for better human health, but, if it only takes a few years for the health impacts of chemical-related diseases to show up in dogs vs the decades it takes to manifest in people, why aren't we paying more attention to the issue for our pet's sake alone? Especially when it comes to the exposure we can control by reducing the toxic load in our homes.

Here's an important reminder from one of our FAQ images - Can pets spread COVID-19 to people?
Additionally, there is no reason to remove pets from homes even if COVID-19 has been identified in members of the household, unless there is risk that the pet itself is not able to be cared for appropriately. During this pandemic emergency, pets and people each need the support of the other and veterinarians are there to support the good health of both. https://bit.ly/34bXBJg
