Astrology. Grrrr.

Fine. I will explain why I take issue with astrology. You’re not going to like it. Just saying.

Whether you’re all in with astrology or you think it’s a bunch of Bu****it, either way I’m pretty sure you’re going to disagree with me.

I was raised with it. My mother even TAUGHT it in our living room when I was growing up.

It was part of the fabric of my life.

I knew that trimming my hair on a new moon made it grow faster. And it did!

I learned that letting things go on a full moon worked.

I found out that the reason I’m so geeky and in need of empirical evidence, despite what my peers believed was due to being born under the sun sign of Aquarius.

And none of this is necessarily wrong. It’s just misguided.

I could see with my own eyes that the sun was NOT entering into the proscribed sign by using a simple telescope or app of the night sky.

Modern day astrology is based on ancient Babylonian understanding of the stars. And always earth-centric, as if Earth was the center of our solar system. Because of course humans would consider themselves the center of everything. 🙄

Our planet has traveled within this solar system within this tiny galaxy since then.

A LOT. Not by small degrees, but by pretty gargantuan degrees.

Don’t believe me? Just look up. You’ll see for yourself. This isn’t a conspiracy theory. It’s fu***ng astronomy!

And so why do I still honor this planet earth and the revolutions it makes around our sun and the revolutions our moon makes around us?

Because that’s measurable. That’s real. I can *feel* when our moon is closer and not being hidden by our sun. As can every other freaking species on this planet! Why? Because we are made of the same 4 primary elements.

Our sun affects us. Our moon affects us. Every planet in our solar system affects us at every level right down to our DNA level. But not in the self-absorbed, arrogant way we think they do with our imposed solar calendars and made up time constructs.

Huh. So apparently I’ve switched into Observer Mode full time.

I was just folding and putting away the laundry that I dried outside and got to 2 pairs of fuzzy, seamless socks and I felt a profound visceral response to that and heard myself say, OUT LOUD, “What a lovely thing you’ve given your body. It doesn’t like seams and it loves fuzziness. You are creating joy now”.

And then I proceeded to fold them and put them away with the most satisfying sense of self-love. 🥰

I can’t really describe it but I understood in that moment that everything I do and say and think and believe creates my reality.

I grasped this on an intellectual level before today, but not on the visceral body response level.

What I’m trying to say is that I knew that my body had its own consciousness.

That my body held onto things that I couldn’t quite get to regardless of trauma release therapy, hypnosis, EMDR, Ego State (or IFS) work, acupuncture, acupressure, somatic work, supplements, detoxification from biological and energetic parasites…you name it, I’ve tried it.

I witnessed myself as *NOT* myself. Observing myself rather than Absorbing other people’s stuff. And it’s changing everything on every level, not just intellectual.

The 70’s called and they wanted their hair back!

“One of my practice clients is a close friend who is a certified hypnotist but never did anything with it. She told me that no one has ever been able to hypnotize her and that during her practice sessions as a student, she simply couldn't experience what she was being asked to experience. We did some ego/resource state transformation and then visited her Happy Safe Place.

I noticed that her verbalization of the experience lacked a lot of visual and auditory descriptions but included things like "a sense of surrender" and knowing that she was safe. When we ascended to the hallway, she paused for a long time and said, "I can't seem to find it."

So, I asked her if she could sense the expansiveness of a hallway in front of her and the possibilities and potential opportunities that were waiting behind its many doorways. I told her that she may simply know that she had arrived before she saw anything. Suddenly, she knew she had arrived and described a beautiful crystal hallway with raw crystals growing out of every door - she said she could sense their energetic qualities coming from each door.

I continued to use the words "sense" and "know" throughout the remainder of the session and it went very well. Afterward, she expressed how blown away she was by the vividness of her experience. I then told her Kryssa's story about being more cognitive and getting pulled out of a trance when someone would tell her to see or hear something. That's when Kristin exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, that's me!"

She said that she would tell herself hypnosis wasn't working, that she wasn't capable of being hypnotized, and suddenly, her lovely trance state would be replaced by a sense of failure and frustration.

Thank you, Kryssa, for helping me understand that everyone experiences hypnosis differently and for paying close attention to the cues my clients are giving me. Kristin and I had a great session together, and she wants to work together again soon so she can once again experience this profound state of trance.”

I received the message from a client’s higher self in a Quantum Journeys Hypnosis session recently that if we continue to revisit old narratives, we are effectively coding those narratives into our present and manifesting more of the same for our future.

This isn’t to punish us, but to help us realize that we are creating our own reality by the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves. So that we can learn to tell different stories, to create new and different realities.

Here’s the 1990 movie that started me down the path of a life long love affair with quantum physics despite not being a math person.

I stuck with psychology in college (due to aforementioned math issues) but continued to learn everything I could get my hands on at the theoretical level of quantum physics. It just took hold in my noggin and never let go. 🥰
