106 West School of Music, Music Supply and Performing Arts Venue
Formerly located in an historic 100 year old church building on the corner of Athens and Beulah Street, we now do voice and music by appointment.
Our goal is to pass on what we have learned through enlightened engagement with people in musicworld and tech Music and the joy of creating it and sharing it with others reside in the heart of the mission of 106 West. We want people mostly, people willing to work and play to make a place for those dedicated to the performing arts to have a stage and chance to interact with those who wish to enjoy
Just thinking of all the wonderful years of music and comedy and plays that have taken place on our stage. Now, it's all coming to a close in the near future. The best thing to me though, is the wonderful friendships and lifelong associations that originated there. The relationships that began when people met each other there. The children. The families. The touring musicians that dropped in . Such a wonderful venue. Such a wonderful place for harmony! We'll miss you, 106 West, as our lives move in divergent or different directions, as geography, time, and ascendance distance us from each other. We all will continue our journeys and celebrate our memories here. May God bless and cherish us in our new roles to come, each and every one.
Don't forget to sign up for in person and online music sessions featuring voice, piano guitar bass or folk instruments of your choice - March, April, and May!
Music sessions start back again February 6th! We offer Voice, Guitar, Piano, Bass, Ukulele, and other fretted instruments, or musical combinations to your liking. Onsite or video. 3 40 minute sessions per month, (95 for single session), or 255 per month for three sessions. Other lesson configurations may be available. Just tell us what you need

The former sanctuary lends itself very well to a concert setting as the comfortable pews in a half-round configuration can comfortably seat 200 people with all seats having a clear and up close view of the stage.

Instruction in guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, violin, voice, piano and keyboard, ukulele, theory, harmony, songwriting and performance are available at 106, from beginning to advanced and professional levels of training. There are four instructors on staff who are interested in helping the student fulfill his or her personal goals in music in a way that is fun, progressive, and that leads for those students who are willing to put in the effort, to know even less at the end of their journey than they did in the beginning, yes, to play music thoughtlessly, like a native language.
