Winston-Salem Rescue Mission
The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission exists to help hurting men find healing in the gospel of Jesus Christ and hope through the new life Christ gives.
From our hands to theirs, your generosity fuels our mission. Thank you for helping us help others! π
Recovery Reflections
We had a chance to speak with Transformers resident, David as he thought about his life before coming to the Rescue Mission. He is a testament of Godβs love and kindness!
David says, βOne night I broke down and started crying, talking to Godβfor 30 years Iβve been trying to do it on my own and now Iβm leaving things to you.β
Praise the Lord for the work He is doing!
π **Join Us in Prayer for Vision!** π
As we look to the future and plan our path forward, we seek your prayers for clear vision. Vision to see the needs of our community, and strategic planning to address those needs with wisdom and compassion.
Please take a moment to pray for the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, that we may be guided with insight and foresight as we work to create a brighter future for those we serve.
Together, through faith and purposeful action, we can make lasting change. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. π
We love serving the Winston community!
Every Tuesday and Friday, our outreach ministry provides a client-choice food pantry for anyone in our area in need. By providing free food of their choice, we know all the food they are choosing will be consumed, and is the most effective way of distributing food and minimizes waste!
Our program staff gives counsel, teach, mentor, correct, love and pour their lives into the residents in our addiction recovery programs. They point our residents to Christ every single day.
Sharing a meal, Sharing hope π
As our men come together and pray, each meal is a moment of reflection and gratitude to our neighbors, sharing the love of Christ by providing food and care that can lead to transformed lives to those who are hurting!
π **Join Us in Prayer for Growth!** π
As we strive to expand our reach and deepen our impact, we seek your prayers for growth. Growth in our ministry, growth in our resources, and growth in the lives we touch.
Please take a moment to pray for the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, that we may flourish in our efforts and continue to bring hope, healing, and support to those in need.
Together, through faith and dedication, we can witness incredible growth and transformation. Thank you for your steadfast support and prayers. π
Would you pray for our 2nd annual Mission Revival next week? Over 70 men from our Life Builders and Transformers programs will be attending for these special meetings over 3 days, Wednesday-Friday. We're excited to see what God is going to do!

Yesterday our entire staff was encouraged by our Executive Director, Lou Carrico, to spend time in prayer. "When we pray, God responds." So our team spent an extended time praying for wisdom, unity, growth, vision, finances, favor, protection, and the salvation of souls! We would be honored to have you pray on behalf of the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, and for the next 8 Sundays, we'll be sharing specific prayer areas that we are speaking to the Lord.

Happy Independence Day! We hope you have a joyful and safe July 4th.
In observance of Independence Day, our WSRM offices and Thrift Store will be closed on Thursday, July 4th!
Have you done anything consistently for 22 years? Denny did. He preached every month in our Life Builders Chapel services for an incredible 22 years, always giving a passionate gospel presentation and a compelling invitation to respond to Christ. He would bring his family along with delicious ice cream sundaes for the Mission residents. Our Executive Director, Lou Carrico, remembers, "Denny would greet the men, converse with the men, pray with the men, and he loved on the men." Our hearts go out to the St. Clair family with Denny's passing. Chapel won't be the same, brother. Thank you.
The final video in our IMPACT series has to do with Basic Needs of people in our community, and how YOUR gifts to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission help to meet those needs.
Have you noticed it's hot outside? Someone posted: "I just walked outside and ran into Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego." Our homeless and hurting neighbors are struggling, too. Have a look at some of these needs and ideas. Items can be dropped off at 718 N Trade St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, or ordered from our Amazon List at https://ow.ly/56Ct50Ss649. THANK YOU for caring.
Our heartfelt condolences to the family of Rev. David Moxley. David served at the Mission for over 40 years in various roles, including Community Outreach Assistant, Director of the Life Builders Program, Thrift Store Manager, and Director of Operations. David is remembered at the Mission as a man of integrity and one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet. We strive to carry on David's testimony of love for the community and the Lord. We'll see you in heaven, Rev. Moxley!
Last week, the Rescue Mission made a trip to Camp Grove and had a chance to share our ministry, connecting to their summer camp theme of "Missions". We spoke about the parable of the Good Samaritan and what it means to love our neighbor!
The campers ended their time by packing hygiene kits, snacks, and encouraging notes for us to give out during our Food Pantry and Clothing Closet. THANK YOU Camp Grove! πβ
