Hello Everyone! This is my first post on this page and I wanted to give a bit of background. First, hello! My name is Beans and I am a Yakima local. I have seen the struggles of homelessness and have experienced it first hand. This page is to promote the outreach services I wish to provide. The very hopeful plan is to make fresh, homemade meals (mainly made from scratch and with ingredients grown locally) and hand them out warm twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. They will be 100% free and there are no requirements! Just one per person. If you have children with you or multiple people with you, they each get one :) Most meals will have meat but we will have a small percentage that are vegetarian for the known diversity of the valley and to hopefully accommodate many. These meals will be handed out in different areas around town each week. Wednesday and Friday within the same week will be at the same location. That being said, if you know someone in need on a different week day, you can always message me and I will get something going and made and delivered hopefully same day. Donations will always be accepted to cover costs of food and supplies but NEVER mandatory. We are here to help and serve. We hope to grow enough to later provide more services.
